Krisp vs Read AI: price per user on each billing basis

Krisp Core costs $8 per user a month billed annually, and Read AI Pro costs $15 on the same basis, as read on October 29, 2026. Billed monthly, Krisp Core is $16 and Read AI Pro is $19.75. Krisp Advanced is $30 billed monthly and $15 billed annually, so its price matches that of Read AI Pro only on annual billing.

Read AI's monthly-billing figures come from the price elements on its own pricing page, and Read AI names its middle plan Enterprise.

Read Assistant joins the call; Krisp does not by default

Read AI's pricing page tells you to add Read Assistant, its name for the bot, to a Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet meeting. Krisp's product page says it works at the audio level on your device. Krisp calls this bot-free: no extra participant joins the call by default.

Krisp also offers an optional Krisp Bot from the Core plan. Other participants see it as a separate participant, the host must let it in, and Krisp says it supports Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams only. Krisp has a setting named Notify others you're using Krisp. With either tool, tell everyone on the call that notes are being taken.

Meeting length, free transcripts and license rules

Read AI's free plan allows 5 meeting transcripts a month and meetings of up to 1 hour. Pro and Enterprise raise the limit to 4 hours, and Enterprise+ to 8 hours. Enterprise+ also requires 5 or more licenses. Krisp's help center says a single recording can be up to 4 hours long.

Read AI's page says all its licenses are individual and that all licenses in a workspace have to be on the same plan. An eight-person remote operations team that wants cleaner audio and notes in one app would put all eight licenses on one Read AI plan. Krisp counts any teammate you add as a seat, lists members as unlimited on every plan. It also builds noise cancellation into every plan.

Refunds and canceling on each side

Read AI's FAQ says it does not offer refunds, and that you keep access to your workspace until the end of the billing period. Krisp's help center says canceling does not downgrade the account immediately, and its Terms mean no refund for unused time. Krisp also does not refund removed seats, and it charges added seats at once for the rest of the cycle.

Pick Read AI when a free plan of 5 meeting transcripts a month is enough, or when you want an assistant visible in every call.
