Try Krisp →Copilot in Teams: licenses, organizer control and outside meetings
Microsoft says intelligent recap comes with Teams Premium, an add-on license, or with a Microsoft Copilot license. The Copilot Business add-on is available only to existing Microsoft 365 customers with an eligible Business plan.
The meeting organizer decides how and whether participants can use Copilot. To ask Copilot questions after a meeting ends, a transcript must exist, so live transcription has to be on. Copilot won't work in meetings hosted outside the participant's organization, so a call hosted by a client's company takes it out of play.
Separate note takers in Microsoft Teams: bot or no bot
Krisp works in Microsoft Teams through two virtual audio devices, Krisp Microphone and Krisp Speaker, which you choose in the Teams audio settings. Its optional bot, from Core, can join Teams too, and the host must let it in. Krisp's Teams integration, a Core and Advanced feature, shares notes to a Teams channel.
Otter.ai's notetaker, Fireflies.ai's Fred and Read AI's Read Assistant join the meeting as assistants. How to take meeting notes in Teams walks through each route.
Where Microsoft Teams recordings and notes are stored
Microsoft uploads a Teams recording to the organizer's OneDrive for private meetings or to SharePoint for channel meetings. Guests and external attendees can view it only if it is explicitly shared with them. Teams also notifies all participants when a recording starts.
Krisp keeps its recordings in its own cloud until you delete them, and its Teams integration can share a Krisp meeting to a Teams channel.
