Krisp free trial: 7 days, no card, and what happens on day 8

Last reviewed October 29, 2026

Quick answerKrisp's free trial lasts 7 days, needs no credit card and covers unlimited notes and transcription; then access stops until you buy a plan. Krisp's Terms of Use keep your content open for export for 90 days after the trial ends.

Krisp free trial: how long it lasts and what it includes

Krisp's free trial lasts 7 days and asks for no credit card. Krisp's pricing page shows a Free Trial card at $0 with the lines "Free for 7 days" and "No credit card required", as read on October 29, 2026.

The card lists unlimited transcription, noise cancellation, audio and video recording, and AI notes and action items. Accent conversion is limited, and Krisp says the trial lets you test all of its premium features. The card's button reads "Try it Free".

Krisp's pricing page offers a 7-day free trial and its Terms of Use end access when the trial expires, although its home page buttons say "Get Krisp for free", so we treat it as a trial, not a free plan.

What happens when the 7 days end

Seven days is the whole window. Krisp's Terms of Use say the trial "will automatically expire, and all access to Krisp will immediately cease," so access stops on day 8 unless you buy a plan.

The Terms also set a Post-Trial Access Period: the 90 days after a trial ends when you can still reach your content, solely to export it. Krisp's help center says recordings download as MP3 files and transcripts export as .txt files. Krisp decides at its sole discretion who is eligible for a trial.

Is Krisp AI free after the trial?

Krisp's pricing page names no free plan, and its Terms end access when the trial expires, so the documented path after day 7 is a paid plan. Core is $16 per user a month billed monthly or $8 billed annually, and Advanced is $30 or $15 on the same two bases. Enterprise is custom pricing through Talk to Sales.

Free plans elsewhere: Read AI, Fathom and Otter.ai

Three rivals word their free access as a plan, not a trial:

  • Read AI: "Always free, no credit card required" on its pricing page, with 5 meeting transcripts a month and a one-hour maximum meeting length. Its assistant joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet calls.
  • Fathom: "Free forever", with unlimited recordings and transcriptions and a choice of bot-free capture, in beta on Mac, or bot capture.
  • Otter.ai: Basic is free for up to 5 members, with 300 minutes per user a month and 30 minutes per conversation.

Pick Krisp's trial to run your own Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls, with no bot in the call by default, before paying for seats. Pick one of these free plans if a cap of 5 transcripts a month, 5 members or 30-minute conversations fits your team. The best AI note taker for teams shortlist sets them beside the paid plans, and the Krisp AI meeting assistant review covers what Krisp's bot does.
