Zoom's AI assistant, ZoomMate (formerly called AI Companion), has a My Notes feature that captures conversations on Zoom, in person, on mobile and across third-party platforms. ZoomMate Basic, which comes with Workplace Basic, limits My Notes to 3 uses a month and 40 minutes a meeting, and the paid ZoomMate lists unlimited AI note-taking.

Google says Take notes for me can be used for in-person meetings. It needs an eligible Google Workspace edition or Google AI plan and supports one language at a time.

Telling everyone in the room

Tell everyone in the room before the notes start. As background, the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press (RCFP) says federal law requires the consent of at least one party before recording a conversation, including an in-person one, and about 11 states primarily require all parties.
